Week of April 16-20

• Thank you so much to everyone who sent in Easter treats for our class!
• A big congratulations to Isaac and Amber who participated at the Provincial Science Fair.  Amber placed in the top 8!
• We will wrap up our Human Body unit in Science this week. It is looking like our quiz will be on Thursday.
• Procedural writing assignment is due on Monday (tom.).
• The Gr.5 students are continuing to work on our Geometry unit.
• Tuesday will be "Twin Day".  Students can pay a toonie and support the Easter Seals Campaign. 
• The countdown is on!  June 2 will be a very exciting day at Amherst Cove.....build day!  Be sure to sign up to volunteer!

• Congratulations to our Science Fair winners!  1st place-Isaac, 2nd place-Amber, 3rd place-Rebecca and Dakota.  Good luck to Isaac and Amber who are competing at the Provincial Science Fair on April 3.
• Good luck to Rebecca, Mason, and Lucas who are competing at the Zone Badminton meet.
• The Gr. 5's have wrapped up their unit on Statistics and Probability.  We are now starting our unit on Geometry.
• We are working on our Procedural Writing throughout the week. I would encourage everyone to be reading 20 min. at home each evening.
• Thank you to Tammy and Skyler for bringing in the yummy muffins last week!
• Spring photos will be taken on Friday, April 13.
• I hope everyone has a fantastic Easter weekend! (No school on Friday, April 6th and Monday, April 9th)
