Week of May 16-20

  • I hope everyone had a great weekend!
  • First of all, I would like to congratulate all of the students for being so well behaved at the Confederation Center on Thursday.
  • Grade 3/4 class will continue to work on naming solid shapes and being able to determine how many edges, verticies, and faces each shape has.  We will also start to look and the difference between polygons (regular and irregular) and non-polygons.  The students will learn to sort the polygons according to number of sides. Please work on math facts nightly.
  • Grade 6 will be working on transformational  geometry.  This includes performing successive translations, rotations, and reflections  of shapes.  Please continue the math fact review nightly.
  • This week the grade 6 will have an extra help class on Tuesday from 245-345 and the grade 3's will have their help class on Thursday from 245- 345.
  • I hope everyone has a wonderful week.
